This is a non-contributing Fifth Street building within the historic district due to the loss of its upper story and its complete replacement façade (post-1899).  The building is of interest because it is a surviving frame store building, a rare survivor.

Physical Description:

This is a single-story frame gable roof single storefront. Historically this was a two-story building as late as 1968. The present building has a new brick facade.

 

Documented Alterations:

$2,000 in alterations by VFW (Express, May 2, 1957). Permits note electrical work (1968), plumbing (1983).
