West Des Moines Human Services has been assisting low-income, older seniors and disabled residents since 1979. We currently provide assistance to more than 2,000 households in West Des Moines and surrounding western suburbs. We offer emergency assistance for rent and utilities, youth recreational assistance, clothing and food assistance in addition to many other programs for those struggling with poverty. Our staff strives to create an environment where those seeking our help experience compassion, acceptance and commitment.

Donations are accepted at the SE corner of our building. Donation receipts are available. Or, we encourage you to order from our Amazon Wish List and have the items shipped to us.
