      Formerly known as the east end of Holiday Park, Wilson Park was renamed in 2001 to recognize Don Wilson for his many years of service on the West Des Moines Park Advisory Board. Mr. Wilson served on the Park Board in the 1950's and helped facilitate the purchase of what is now Holiday Park.

Facilities include:

  • Picnic shelter with grill (first come, first serve) 
  • Restrooms (open April 15 - October 15, weather permitting)
  • Play equipment (2-5 and 5-12 year-old sections)
  • Backstop
  • Tennis court (non-lighted; striped for pickleball)
  • Basketball court (non-lighted)
  • Large open playfield
  • Trail connection to Holiday Park
  • Parking lot
  • Park Map
