DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the general direction of the Public Works Director, the Deputy Public Works Director provides direction, coordination, and oversight for the Public Works Department, which includes the following areas; environmental, transportation, construction, and development. Partners with the City Engineer to assist in administering the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). Ensures that public improvements are constructed in accordance with State laws and accepted Engineering standards while minimizing risk to the public as a result of these improvements and that the public's resources are managed responsibly. Serves as representative to Metropolitan planning groups including Transportation Technical Committee.
