On September 4th, 2014, WDMEMS staff attended the NDMS training at the Des Moines airport, along with other area ambulance services. NDMS is a federally-coordinated system for major medical disasters. It also allows for civilian medical support and treatment of injured military personnel who are shipped back to the US from overseas. For more information, check out the Public Health Department's NDMS page on the US Department of Health and Human Services website here.
