 The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) assists qualifying Iowa homeowners and renters pay a portion of their primary heating costs during the winter heating season. Approved households receive a one-time payment which is made directly to their utility vendor. This program is not designed to pay a household's total energy costs, but to provide some assistance for eligible households. Income guidelines apply.
