Eight stand-alone, lighted pickleball courts are located in Valley View Park. The courts are on the western side of the park, off of 88th Street in close proximity to the sand volleyball courts, basketball courts, and tennis courts. Due to the popularity of pickleball and the high demand for these new courts, a reservation policy for the courts has been implemented. Court Reservation Policy

• All courts are on a first come, first serve basis unless courts are reserved or scheduled activities are taking place. See court schedule posted on bulletin board via QR code at the park or by visiting www.wdm.iowa.gov/vvschedule for a listing of reservations and/or activities.

• Courts 1, 2, 3, & 4 can be reserved.

  •  Courts 1, 2, 3, & 4 are for match play (non-rotational) or reservations. Courts 1 – 4 are not to have rotational group play take place unless under the scheduled reservation.

• Courts 5, 6, 7, & 8 cannot be reserved.

  • Courts 5, 6, 7, & 8 can be used for rotational group play – this is optional, not mandatory. Group players cannot force players in an already established non-rotation match play to participate in group play.

  • Rotational group play is when players complete one game to 11 points then allow the next group of players to rotate in.

• For all courts, please be courteous of all formats of play and please make note that rotational group play is optional.

• Please limit play time to one hour if others are waiting.

• Reservations can be made from March 1 through October 31. Reservations can be made online or over the phone at 515-222-3444. Calls must be made during normal business hours, Monday - Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

• Reservations cannot be made less than four (4) hours prior to requested time slot.

• Online reservations are limited to two hours per day per court. We will allow for multiple court use by school districts and tournament organizers if necessary.

• Reservations must be made by 4 p.m. on the day prior to use for a reservation confirmation sheet to be posted on-site, Monday through Friday. Reservations for Saturday and Sunday must be made by 4 p.m. on Friday to guarantee your reservation will be posted on the schedule. If you do not reserve prior to 4 p.m. on Friday for a weekend slot, be sure to have your receipt on-hand (printed or electronic) to notify players who may be on the reserved court.

• Cancellations: There are no refunds for cancellations, and a $10 change fee applies for changes to reservations. Renter must promptly leave the court(s) at the end of rental time. The court must be left in suitable condition for the next renter.

• Inclement Weather: Reservations impacted by inclement/severe weather may contact the Administrative Office to reschedule within three (3) business days after the original reservation date. Rescheduled dates must occur within the current calendar year.
