Iowa Barn

Created by Clint Hansen; Urbandale, IA

Iowa Barn celebrates the rapidly disappearing barns that are a part of our Iowa heritage. Created to look like stained glass, some panels show textures of printed seed corn and agricultural related ads and images Hansen created in scratchboard. The sculpture was made using copper, steel. and plexiglass. A rooster sits proudly on top  of a functioning weathervane on the barn roof.

Iowa Barn was purchased by the Public Arts Advisory Commission after it won the 2021 Art on the Campus People's Choice Award.
