Home MenuAn intricate part of the Human Services organization is the Advisory Board, made up of residents appointed by the Mayor with Council approval. These people are appointed for three-year terms and represent a diversified cross-section of residents. The board establishes regulations, procedures and policies designed to effectively carry out the department's mission of "providing opportunities for community residents to achieve healthy, stable and productive lives."
The Board meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. (exception is March which is on the 4th Tuesday), with no meeting in August or December.
